SURVIVOR SCHOLARSHIP – To help trafficking survivors in their first steps of gaining independence, we provide Gap Scholarships to survivors of sex trafficking and labor trafficking to fill the gaps in financial assistance in their journey of pursuing a bachelor’s degree.

LIVE2FREE– By empowering and educating college students, our Live2free student mobilization group conducts peer-to-peer outreach to high schools, junior highs, and youth groups to educate their peers and conduct prevention at the root of vulnerability.

RESEARCH INITIATIVE – Through our new research initiative on human trafficking prevention and survivor care, we will engage, connect, and collaborate with other organizations and governmental entities to develop research-based resources and best practices.

Global Center for Women and Justice #MovetoEndHT

January is National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. In 2010, January was declared National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month by presidential proclamation in honor of the Emancipation Proclamation issued on January 1, 1863 by President Abraham Lincoln. In honor of National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, we are rallying our friends, families, and communities to join us throughout the month of January to move to end human trafficking.

Over the past 18 years, the Global Center for Women and Justice has provided training and resources to enable leaders to promote justice against human trafficking through education, research, advocacy, and collaboration. GCWJ carries out this mission by working with students, educators, law enforcement, healthcare professionals, faith-based practitioners, and community leaders to end human trafficking and the cyber-exploitation of women and children.

Why are donations necessary?

As an externally funded non-profit organization that is dedicated to research and collaboration to develop best practices for anti-human trafficking efforts, run, walk, cycle, or swim to raise awareness about human trafficking and support the Global Center for Women and Justice’s role as clearinghouse of knowledge and research in our local communities and around the world.
